RSVP is required as space is limited. If you can't make it to this Senior Scam Stopper session, we will have more throughout the year.

1279 Ending Juvenile “Strikes” & Creating Pathways to Justice Webinar

Join Assemblymember Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins and a panel of justice reform advocates, legal experts, and community leaders for a virtual discussion on Assembly Bill 1279, legislation that prohibits a prior juvenile adjudication from being used as a prior “serious” or “violent” felony under the Three Strikes sentencing law.

This bill represents a major step toward restoring fairness, promoting rehabilitation, and aligning California’s laws with the principles of juvenile justice.

This webinar will offer participants an inside look at the bill, its impact on communities, and how you can take action to help pass AB 1279 this legislative session.

During the Webinar, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn what AB 1279 changes and who it helps.
  • Hear stories from impacted individuals and advocates for justice reform.
  • Discover practical ways to get involved, from contacting legislators to sharing community stories.
  • Participate in a live Q&A with Assemblymember Sharp-Collins’ office and policy partners

Even if you can’t attend, you can still make an impact!

  • Call or email your legislators to urge support for AB 1279.
  • Share this event with your networks using the hashtags #AB1279 and #PathwaysToJustice.
