SACRAMENTO, CA — Assemblymember Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins (D- San Diego) disapproves of President Donald Trump’s comments at a Nebraska rally inciting Iran to “take out” San Diego and Los Angeles.

“It is unconscionable that the President of the United States would speak so casually about a foreign adversary attacking any American city,” said Assemblymember Sharp-Collins. “Los Angeles or San Diego are not a ‘small price to pay. We are communities of families, veterans, servicemembers, workers and children who deserve a Commander in Chief committed to protecting us, not rhetoric that treats our lives as expendable.”

She continues with, “As a proud representative of San Diego, I strongly condemn these offensive and dangerous remarks. Regardless of political party or where we live, no American city should ever be spoken of as acceptable collateral damage. San Diegans, Californians and our nation deserve leadership that brings people together and puts the safety of the American people first. used as instruments of torture.”
